Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is a multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International. The program has brought together the financial, volunteer and advocacy resources of Thrivent Financial and the resources and capacities of hundreds of Habitat for Humanity’s local affiliates to build more than 2,000 homes since 2005.

Get involved in Thrivent Builds Homes
In 2010, 181 families around the United States will work with Lutheran volunteers and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members to achieve the dream of homeownership through the Thrivent Builds Homes program. To get involved locally, find a Thrivent Builds event near you.

Join a Thrivent Builds Worldwide trip
Throughout the world, millions of families are living in substandard housing. Thrivent Builds Worldwide members can help change lives through the Thrivent Builds Worldwide program. There are two ways to help build a better world with a Worldwide trip:

  • Thrivent Builds Worldwide Communities
    Build whole communities and lifelong relationships with teammates and partner families. Gulf Coast Community trips and El Salvador Community trips are available. Only 25 Thrivent Builds Worldwide El Salvador Community trips are available through June 2010, so plan your trip now!
  • Thrivent Builds Worldwide Destination of Choice
    Create a trip to anywhere in the world that a current Habitat host program is offered.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members receive a discount on trip costs. A donation will also be made to the Habitat for Humanity host program on behalf of Thrivent Financial members who participate in a volunteer work trip. It is a life-changing opportunity to see the world and feel the power of your membership in action!
