Argentina — Reception and Administration Assistant
Title: Reception and administration assistant
Location: Habitat for Humanity Argentina national office—Buenos Aires, Argentina
Term of Service: 6–12 months (To be filled in as soon as possible)
Assignment summary
This position reports to the administration assistant and is based out of the national office in Buenos Aires. The Buenos Aires office is looking for a volunteer to provide customer service to the general public (i.e., families, volunteers, representatives of other institutions, etc.) via telephone and e-mail.
Responsibilities
• Provide follow-up and on-going coordination of activities at the Buenos Aires office.
• Maintain contact with organizations and send reminders regarding upcoming meetings.
• Receive and respond to HPHA information requests.
• Update and maintain institutional material.
• Support the administrative assistant with various administrative tasks.
• Commit to 30–40 hours per week for international volunteers (20–30 hours per week for local volunteers).
Requirements
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility, has initiative and is motivated, dedicated and proactive. Requirements include
• Spanish and English fluency, both written and oral.
• Experience in public relations, tourism or hospitality, marketing, advertising, translation and interpretation, communications, education, recruitment and group interaction.
• Skills in scheduling and organizing.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Two to four years of university education.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Experience working in multicultural environments.
Support from the host organization
Due to the limited computers at the national office, it is preferable for the volunteer to bring a laptop. Position-related transportation will be provided.
The volunteer will be responsible for all other costs associated with living in the host country.

Visas are given for a maximum period of three months. Volunteers are then required to leave the country and re-enter in order to be granted another three months. Most volunteers will take a trip to neighboring countries, such as Uruguay.
